Amnesia Ibiza

Amnesia Ibiza is one of the most famous clubs in the Island and has been filmed several times for movies and TV shows, the most notorious being Amnesia’s inclusion in the hit films, It’s all gone Pete Tong, and of course, Kevin and Perry Go Large.

The super-club started on very humble beginnings in the 70′s when it was an uncovered disco venue, a million miles away from being one of the most recognisable club brands. The flagship Ibiza nightclub boasts a 5,000 people capacity which is often met on some of ther bigger nights.

The club is made up of two rooms, the covered terrace where many large international acts play underneath the glass roof (you’ll only notice this if your the hard-core party animal that can survive until sunrise). The main room at Amnesia also has some incredible DJs gracing the decks in front of thousands of revellers. With many bars, raised platforms for dancing on and an excellent array of decoration – Amnesia really does feel like a special place to party.

Amnesia also boats a fantastic VIP area, you can purchase a higher-price ticket and enjoy the madness below from the comfort of a raised platform with views of the DJs in both the main room and terrace. Amnesia also offer an extravagant table service if you’re willing to party like celebrities all night (or, of course if you are a celebrity).

16 Bars, 2 rooms, and over 300 staff make it an impressive venue, but what really makes Amnesia so successful is the nights they host, this year, they’re hosting Cream Ibiza, one of the longest running club nights in Ibiza and home to the talents of the Cream DJs and other international artists. I want my MTV, a new night for 2011 where MTV are bringing some pretty interesting acts to Ibiza, far removed from your usual electronic DJs. Acts include Snoop Dogg, Primal Scream, Duran Duran and more. Tonight presented by Eric Prydz and Annie Mac is also new for 2011 and includes some fantastic special guests including Chase & Status, Nero and more. Cocoon returns to Amnesia this year on the extremely busy Monday night slot, Sven Vath brings back his Cocoon friends for this incredible night. La Troya, Pop Stars and Matinee are the quieter, but by no means less exciting nights of Amnesia, and you may even bump into a foam party or two on these nights.

Situated in San Rafael, bang in between San Antonio and Playa D’en Bossa and a stone throws away from rival super-club Privilege, Amnesia runs free party busses throughout the night to these resorts.
