When we first booked Ibiza rocks hotel I was a bit apprehensive as with everything I had heard good and bad reviews but it ended up being one of the best holidays of my life.
We arrived quite late at night and got a transfer with a taxi pre booked with the hotel, which I would definitely recommend, as there were a lot of queues for general taxis. As normal the hotel asked to keep our passports for a day and we paid a deposit.
The location is good as it is quite close to the west strip. At first you can get a bit confused as it’s through a few small lanes but you get used to it.
We stayed in the superior balcony rooms which were on the top floor and looked over the pool area. The room was massive, clean, huge balcony with the sun shining on it all day. And the cleaners were friendly and cleaned the room and made our beds everyday. Compared to the normal rooms they were very big and more out of the way which I think helped with noise. Our friends had a standard balcony room which was still very nice but a bit small for 3 boys.
The atmosphere around the hotel is lively and there are DJs by the pool everyday. The reps aren’t pushy and do not approach you at all but are always in the lobby for you to go and chat. I found that they gave an honest opinion on the events, which helped us decide what to do. The hotel bar is ok. Slightly over priced but the food is good!
First night we went on the Ibiza rocks booze cruise. Which was awesome with a wicked DJ and we met friends for life. It was a great start to the holiday.
The Ibiza rocks live show was the best gig I have ever been to. Having a balcony room means your ticket was included with your room price and you could watch the whole thing from your balcony including the warm up in the afternoon. We watched Biffy Clyro and Bombay Bicycle club. With no pushing or being squashed, our own drink and the after party at Es Paradis was fun.
I would definitely recommend Ibiza rocks to anyone who is a party animal, who likes to socialise and see live gigs. And it is defiantly worth spending a bit extra for a balcony room.
